Vilde, aka Thomas Savage, from Melbourne, Australia, has returned with the enchanting new song, “Lost Lamb.”

Whether it’s the mellow acoustic guitar, with its hints of rough, unpolished edges, the ambient, dreamlike splashes of keys that affectionately pad out the composition, or the percussive elements that breathe a hypnotic quality, you cannot help but get swept up in the cinematic beauty of this track. “Lost Lamb” just feels so effortlessly smooth and soothing as the sounds weaves and flow.

One of the highlights, which adds a vintage, expansive richness and emotional touch, is the use of saxophone. The wistful, melodic flourishes in the solo feel deeply sentimental and imbue a sense of lush grandeur. Just like the music, Vilde’s vocal serves as another captivating layer that melodically leads you through the reflective track. Accompanied by tasteful, delicate harmonising support, the performance is full of depth, yet carefully woven to work in tandem with the immersive musical layers.

Lost Lamb” is another striking track by Vilde, one of many we have had the pleasure of reviewing from his new album, Ardour Residue. Each track showcases Vilde’s skilled artistic ability to sculpt texture in a tasteful manner, creating an intimate and delightfully introspective mood.
