Melbourne, Australia-based indie artist Thomas Savage, aka Vilde, has just released the atmospheric indie folk track, “A Hideous Win.” This song is a lush, immersive track filled with dreamy, otherworldly spaciousness. Built around the warm, resonant, and rich texture of acoustic guitar that weaves with pleasing clarity or provides a varied rhythmic foundation with downstrokes, the mood is delightfully reflective and intimate.

Layers are thoughtfully applied from the hypnotic electronic drums, mellow and ambient electric guitar dances and flows amidst haunting analog synth pads that tenderly enhance the melody. Vilde’s vocal is incredibly gentle across the track, helping to convey feelings of introspection, longing and melancholy. Supported by subtle harmonising vocals, the whole performance draws you in with a sense of irresistible charm.

Delicate, mesmerising, and majestic, “A Hideous Win” is the fifth single to be taken from Vilde’s forthcoming album, which has the theme of “a pre-written narrative inevitably drifts astray in an ever-changing world.”
