From Los Angeles, singer-songwriter Sahara Grim has just released the sophisticated and evocative dream pop track, “Looking Glass.”

Looking Glass” is an elegantly introspective, sensual, and contemplative track that sits between the dreaminess of Tei Shi, the lushness of Bat for Lashes, and minimalism of the xx. Built on the warm, sustained tones of piano, it evokes an immersively intimate atmosphere.

Rich electric guitar, drenched in reverb, enhances the emotional depth of the music while providing a rhythmic anchor. Tantalising ambient synth textures and deep understated bass surround these tones, with silky harp plucks adding an irresistible sense of expansive space and depth.

Expressive, delicate and ethereal, Sahara Grim’s breathy performance is beautifully heartfelt and atmospheric. Filled with smooth and sultry inflections and surrounded by rich harmonies, the performance feels like gentle waves reaching on to the shore.

About the track, Sahara Grim adds: “It is a rather personal song on betrayal, reflection and redirection told through a poetic lens inspired by fantasy stories such as Snow White and Alice in Wonderland. Looking Glass was written in response to friendships gone wrong and ultimately having to let go of them, as well as the past. Looking Glass is symbolic of how we are all reflections of each other and how we can determine which mirrors we look into.”

Ethereal, otherworldly, “Looking Glass” is a polished sensual track that beckons you to get list in its sweet atmosphere. The track is taken from Sahara Grim’s debut album, slated for release this November.
