From New Zealand, alt-pop artist Rita Laing, aka Rita Mae, returns to the blog with the catchy and upbeat sounds of “Poster Child.”
There is an undeniable energy at the heart of this song, which is quite obvious soon after the press of the play button. “Poster Child” begins with some digitally-nuanced artifacts that create the energy of anticipation, brought to fruition when the rhythm arrives at just around the ten-second mark.
Rita Mae’s vocal performance is as infectious as the rest of the arrangement, injecting a melodic sense of excitement that traverses the thoughts of being bored while still seeking validation.
