Nuala - “Damn You’re Cold”

London-based singer-songwriter Nuala has just released the enchantingly heartfelt anthem: “Damn You’re Cold.”

The song begins with some soft, digital bass tones that underscore an almost-playfully displayed vocal line, consisting of hums and a breathy, improvisational jazz-like delivery. More digital tones sporadically rise in the distance, filling out the soundscape and providing width and depth– foreshadowing the forthcoming elevation in dynamics.

Nuala’s voice will instantly captivate most listeners with her unbelievable control and emotionally-charged performance. Her vocal skills are proof that she belongs on the airwaves, at times soulfully reminiscent of Fiona Apple and Amy Winehouse. As the arrangement expands to reveal the bass and drums, additional layers of vocals are added, resulting in a real treat for your ears.

Amidst a vintage-tinged rhythm section, the sounds of a retro-inspired guitar ebb and flow as the track progresses. At the height of the song’s crescendo, syncopated builds and stop/ starts provide some splendid moments of dynamic fluctuation, surely resulting in your repeated, undivided attention.

Damn You’re Cold” is now available everywhere via Insomniac’s STNS label. We highly suggest that you get it into your ears ASAP, as well connect with Nuala online: Instagram | Spotify | Facebook | Website
