New Friends - “Ricochet”

Massive gang vocals, stellar riffs, and infectious grooves… Canada’s New Friends are here with fire: “Ricochet.”

Although New Friends claim that this song is indie pop, it leans heavily toward the rock end of that spectrum and would likely hold its own against anything currently in the charts. “Ricochet” is well written, performed, and produced and it must have driven New Friends completely insane having to sit on this release, knowing that it kicked this much ass. We received it a few weeks ago and couldn’t wait to show it to you, so somebody better check on them.

There is no intro to prepare you for the snarky melody. As soon as you press play, the listener is greeted with a gang of “la la la’s,” as if New Friends were fully aware that they’d written a catchy number and are merely taunting you: “try and catch us now!” This track is massive in production and will definitely make you want to go back and check out their prior releases… which is exactly what every good song should do… and so this is exactly your mission now. We hope you all enjoy this one as much as we have:
