Meimuna - “lullaby for a satellite”

From Switzerland, singer-songwriter Cyrielle Formaz, aka Meimuna, arrives on our blog with the wonderfully gentle sounds of “lullaby for a satellite.”

Pressing the play button invites the remarkable and reverberating tones of clean electric guitar into your ears. The vibe is immediately chill and, as mentioned in the song’s title, “lullaby for a satellite” is most assuredly a delightfully warm and endearing means to sooth and enchant the human condition.

Formaz’s vocal performance follows suit, with her angelic voice delivering a resounding layer of heavenly notes, with lines of lyrics that promise healing and protection. It is a bit outside of our nature to feature such a sparsely arranged song; however “lullaby for a satellite” also comes equipped with otherworldly layers of auxiliary vocals.

The distant droning of a synth occasionally pads out the soundscape, but the constant highlight here is the calming effect that the vocals have when soaring over the top of the tranquil guitar tones. “lullaby for a satellite” is one of those songs that will quietly nestle itself deeply within your chest, and we simply cannot wait for you to hear it.
