UK-based Luke Sital-Singh pushes the cinematic vibes to the fore with his gorgeous new indie folk track, “Saint & Thief.”

Luke Sital-Singh creates a pleasing sense of anticipation throughout “Saint & Thief,” with a soothing use of tension and release. The mellow layers of shuffling acoustic guitar and warm synth organ pulsate reflectively, ducking before each drum beat to create an irresistible sense of groove and rhythm.

Wistful glissando slide guitar, rustic percussive layers, and pulsating and warbling keys elegantly and calmly float across the composition. Some of these layers tastefully boarder on ambient and psychedelic. That’s all before we get to the bass, which is added over key areas to bring depth to the steady, swaggering rhythm.

Vocally, Luke Sital-Singh serves up a reflective, intimate, and emotive performance that becomes strikingly heartwarming over the harmony laden choruses. The use of Lesley speaker effects also enhances the floating cinematic vibes whilst giving a pleasing nod to retro records of the past.

Saint & Thief” blossoms upon each listen as the subtly complex layers delicately unravel themselves. This stunning track is taken from Luke Sital-Singh’s forthcoming album. To find out more, connect with him online: Spotify | Instagram | Facebook | Bandcamp
