Kito Rayburn - “Thunder”

From Monterey, California, singer-songwriter Kito Rayburn has just released the heartfelt, folk-infused sounds of “Thunder.”

The raw and intimate strums of acoustic guitar bring “Thunder” to life, immediately lending a cozy, campfire vibe. Rayburn’s vocal performance soon arrives with all the honest reflection we’ve come to know and love from artists such as Gregory Alan Isakov, relying on emotional authenticity instead of fancy modern production schemes.

In the distance, some lead guitar swells as “Thunder” progresses, eventually bursting into a full-band arrangement, complete with drums, bass, and soaring notes from a violin. Over its course, elements are added and removed to bring a hefty sense of ebb and flow, resulting in a tune that would be perfect for any road trip, whether crossing the country or simply driving home from work.

This is the first we are hearing from this folksy Californian, but if “Thunder” is indicative of any future releases, this will certainly not be the last time we feature Kito Rayburn on our blog. In the meantime, you can connect with him here: Instagram | Spotify | Facebook | YouTube | X
