Cleveland, Ohio-based singer-songwriter Jenna Fournier, aka Kid Tigrrr, has just released the lush, dream-pop track: “Astroautomata.”

The song is built upon some delightfully gentle electric guitar tones that are generously coated in delay and reverb. These immersive, layered tones permeate a mellow, expansive and floating atmosphere as they weave reflective licks across the track.

Pushing “Astroautomata“ forward is a tom groove-laden drum beat. The playing is elegantly soothing and calming, making sure to never overpower the guitar layers or vocals. The addition of shaker enhances the almost hypnotic vibe of the percussion. Underneath, the bass supports with a smooth and warm tone.

The vocal of Fournier is simply captivating and is a real highlight of this sweet tune. The breathy, intimate, and adorably vulnerable performance is highly expressive and filled with a wistful sense of emotion. The upper registers of the vocal are reminiscent of the airy, ethereal fragility of Grimes.

Lyrically and musically, Astroautomata” captures the complexity of healing and self-care in the face of past trauma. It explores the internal struggle of dealing with dissociation, learning to forgive, and moving on from past wounds while ensuring personal safety through mindfulness and setting boundaries.

Astroautomata” is an exquisitely layered song, from its vocals to the immersive musical layers, that you cannot help but get lost in. The track is taken from Kid Tigrrr’s forthcoming debut album, Stoned and Animald, slated for release this August.
