GLOSSER - “Silver Star”

GLOSSER from Washington, D.C. have just released the immersive and hypnotic dream pop track, “Silver Star.”

Ambient, cinematic, and slightly experimental “Silver Star,” for me, sounds like a Chemical Brothers track if you stripped out the EDM beats leaving just the sparse soundscapes, rich texture and atmospheric effects over a simple heartbeat. Like a slow-motion experience, the pulses of synths and hazy noises are introspectively dreamlike as they vividly drift and expansively unravel over the anchoring bass line.

Coated in intimacy and vulnerability that effortlessly draws you into the track, the indescribably beautiful, almost conversational vocal delivery feels hauntingly exposed over the soundscape. As the vocal gains strength with the tender addition of backing vocals, you can’t help but feel enveloped in the introspective journey.

Explaining the meaning of the track, GLOSSER adds: “Silver Star is about having an all-consuming, extreme infatuation with a person, and how that obsession can drive you to the edge. We really wanted to contrast the electronic and rock elements to mirror the emotional ups and downs of that kind of state of mind.”

Silver Star” effortlessly seeps into your bloodstream with its mesmerising use of smoky, dreamlike texture.  The track is taken from the forthcoming new EP “Angel Dust” which is slated for release November 15th via If This Then Records
