Francisco Sola - “Quiet In The Room”
From Buenos Aires, singer-songwriter Francisco Sola is back on the blog with the raw and intimate sounds of “Quiet In The Room.”
This is the twelfth occasion that we’ve had the pleasure of featuring Sola’s folksy craft, and pressing the play button is all you need to do in order to justify this fact. “Quiet In The Room” slowly fades in with the tones of ethereal strings, then gives way to a chord progression from an acoustic guitar. The majority of the track is built upon this movement, offering Sola a grand canvas, ready to decorate with vibrant aural textures.
The production here is relatively lo-fi, which offers a divine sense of intimacy, as though a private performance from the artist. Sola’s voice is, of course, a magnificent highlight, as he never fails to deliver an emotionally authentic performance, which is one of the reasons we’ve featured every single song that he has sent to over us. In the distance, the elongated notes of a trumpet emerge, offering depth to the stripped-back soundscape.
As a barebones rhythm appears at the crescendo, Sola also provides an additional layer of vocals, which is always a surefire way for a track to nail our folksy niche. “Quiet In The Room” ultimately resolves back into its raw, former self, carrying the listener away with just the softness of the vocal and guitar.
“Quiet In The Room” is now available everywhere, but be sure to also check out Sola’s previous releases: “I’ll Be Gone“ “Flower Heart” “Seasick” “Safe Place” “The Picture” “Use & Dispose” “Delete” “Warning Signs” “We Never Barked at the Moon” “Lost” “Clouds“
