BATTS - “Vessel Of Love”

From Melbourne Australia, Tanya Batt, aka BATTS, explores themes of compassion, emotional support, and change with the powerful new indie pop-rock track, “Vessel Of Love.”

Vessel Of Love” is an interesting listen that evokes an early Goldfrapp kind of vibe, breezily yet majestically blending synth-pop textures with more traditional pop-rock elements. It takes listeners on a musical journey, oscillating between reflective, melancholic, sensual, piano-driven, ballad-like verses to sleek, futuristic choruses filled with otherworldly pads and crisp, percussive beats.

Ebbing and flowing, the music evolves atmospherically to its final crescendo, which feels incredibly refined and smooth, yet immersive and intense. This is undeniably due to the superb vocal performance of BATTS. Throughout “Vessel Of Love,” we are treated to her effortless, shapeshifting delivery that builds from soft vulnerability to rich, commanding, and bold tones that seductively soar.

Immensely enjoyable and beautifully cinematic, “Vessel Of Love” is taken from BATTS’ third album, Just My Luck. The album is also released as a limited 300 press run of vinyl which can be picked up here. Speaking on the new record, BATTS adds: “I feel like there is a little something for everyone on this album, the first half is more upbeat and punchy, and then it takes a more melancholy turn towards the end. This is my third album and I just really wanted to have fun with my band, take away the pressures and just have a great time creating.”
