Los Angeles-based artist talker has just released the captivating and strikingly slick indie pop/ rock song, “Easygoing.”

The track opens to the mellow and intimate tones of acoustic guitar. The vibes are gorgeously reflective, instantly drawing the listener into the composition. As the song progresses, layers are applied and removed thoughtfully, endowing a wonderful sense of ebb and flow. Drums push the song forward with a steady and weighty groove, while a warm bass pulses amidst some vibrantly sustained piano.

The emotion of the track builds into a raw and expressive crescendo of distorted and fuzzed-out lead electric guitar, giving a great experimental flair. The song intermittently and delightfully shifts back to its more intimate foundations, creating an authentically engaging listening experience.

The vocals are a real highlight and have a great modern pop production, which sets the whole track alight. The expressive and emotive delivery is wonderfully supported throughout by lush and well-executed harmonising layers. The lyrics to “Easygoing” are beautifully tinged in introspective vibes, making the song thoroughly relatable.

On the song, talker explains: “I think this song is an important part of this record’s story arc… This was one of the first songs I had written in a while that I really just needed to write for myself. I needed to unpack why I’ve always felt insecure and anxious in relationships in order to start making changes and finally get to the point where I’m okay with being a lot. I’m okay with asking for what I need. And I won’t make myself smaller.”

Easygoing,” by talker, is a striking, emotionally-charged, and introspective journey. The vocals have a wonderful authenticity and the music is thoroughly creative and engaging. This is one you do not want to miss.
