Multi-instrumentalist Kyle Woolven, aka Pekoe Cat, from Ontario, Canada, leads us all into a trance with the mesmerising indie psych track, “Vulture Symphony.”

With hints of various different acts from Death In Vegas, early Hawkwind, Radiohead and Can, “Vulture Symphony” encapsulates the unsettling and strangely inviting worlds of electronica, darkwave, kraut-rock, post rock, and psych. Over a magnetic, unrelenting drum beat and grooving bass line, Pekoe Cat hurtles us through the controlled chaos of seductive, cinematic, and alluring sounds.

From distorted, warping guitars, clean acoustic textures, expansive reverbs and delays, the track is a sleek, immaculate head-nodder. Like diving into the subconscious, Pekoe Cat delivers a cool, detached vocal that is heavily drenched in effects. Leading us through a vivid, introspective narrative of inner conflict and societal decay the performance is nothing short of hypnotic.

Full of absolutely sublime, intense moments, “Vulture Symphony” is a masterful piece of psych rock. Press play and wrap yourself up into something that is mesmerizingly unique. Connect with Pekoe Cat: Spotify | YouTube | Instagram | TikTok | Facebook | X
