Kingston, New York-based Overheard have just released the atmospheric and transcendental indie rock track, “Time On A Good Day.”

From the opening notes of the deep, melodic bass and spacious rhythms of the drums, “Time On A Good Day” feels like a track that takes the dreamy melancholy of Mazzy Star and blends it with the spacey sound of the early The Verve and the dark psychedelia of The Doors.

The immersive guitar leads us into a dreamlike state with its watery, electric rhythms meditatively lapping across the arrangement, while the soulful, warm lead guitar fluidly broods with a sense of mystery. Atmospheric, ethereal, and deliciously haunting, the music flows with an immersive sense of contemplation.

Complementing the music is a beautifully hypnotic and deeply reflective vocal performance that is electrifyingly melodic, delicate and breathy. Overheard’s Erin Barth-Dwyer adds: “This song deals with the elusive and relentless nature of time. It’s about the inevitability of change and the struggle to grasp onto meaningful experiences amid life’s constant motion. But it’s also about finding beauty in the impermanence of moments and recognizing the growth that comes from navigating life’s uncertainties.”

Time On A Good Day” is a haunting, timeless masterpiece filled with moody atmospheric textures, poetic lyrics, and spectral vocals. The song is taken from the bands forthcoming debut album, Intertwined, slated for release October 25th via Dromedary Records. Preorder physical formats of the LP here.
