Native Harrow - “I Wanna Thank You”

Philadelphia-based duo Devin Tuel and Stephen Harms, aka Native Harrow, have just released the vintage-tinged sounds of “I Wanna Thank You.”

This track has been carefully designed to instantly enchant its listener, beginning with a quick drum fill before easing into its warm and creamy production. The sound radiates with a classic, analogue glow, complete with a wandering mellotron that dreamily cascades across the top of a rich rhythm section, exquisitely conjuring the vibes of the late ’60s/ early ‘70s.

Tuel’s vocal performance brings more of this same retro aesthetic, imbuing the arrangement with an archetypal quality that will transport you back to a time before digital music production was even a glimmer in the eyes of the musical universe. You will not find any evidence of autotune or its ilk– this is simply music in its most authentic form, folks.

If you’re lucky enough to be in England this September, you can catch the duo live at The Folklore Rooms in Brighton on the 3rd, or The Blue Basement in London on the 6th. We also invite you to join us in eagerly awaiting the arrival of Native Harrow’s LP, Divided Kind, due for release on September 13th. Until then, be sure to give “I Wanna Thank You“ its fair share of spins:
