Mandi Mapes - “Even On The Worst Days”
Mandi Mapes has a soulful indie pop tune full of positivity for your eagerly-awaiting ear holes. “Even On The Worst Days” is playful and energetic without being trite. It’s a feelgood song with a great groove and a sing-along chorus with great harmonic and rhythmic variety, rendering the hopeless hopeful and my inner sourpuss sweetened. I’m a sucker for a good, upbeat tune that recognizes that things aren’t perfect. The sentiment here, that things can get out of whack, but love can still (gulps nervously at the imminent cliché) prevail, is one that I take to heart. But a sentiment alone won’t get your song featured on the blog– you’ve got to have something worth listening to… and Mandi has that in abundance… apparently she even has it on her worst days!
