Katy Alex - Glow EP

Halloween came early! There’s a bag full of ear candy in the EP, Glow, by Katy Alex. With lush production and sweet hooks aplenty, these four songs were clearly cooked up in a confectioner’s kitchen to mouthwatering perfection.

I’m not one to stir the pot with comparisons, but fans of Doja Cat & Halsey are likely to have their tastebuds tingling with delight. The opening track, “Maliblues,” is so danceable & catchy, I just might open up TikTok and make a video. With breakdowns and drops that propel it along, enough to make my lazy tush wiggle, it’s doing all the right things right.

Every song is worth a listen and the title track, “Glow,” has tons of vibe, but I felt “Sad Songs” was the standout track, with a chorus melody that makes my ears hungry for more.
