Hallo - “Worth It All”

Austin, Texas-based cozy-indie-rock band Hallo have returned to the blog with a new single: “Worth It All.”

This track begins extremely lo-fi, as though a song idea plucked from the voice memos of a cellphone, complete with room noise and the soft strums from an intimate acoustic guitar. The soundscape magically morphs into sonic elation upon the arrival of the rhythm section, bringing a vibe that we found to be warmly reminiscent of early Fleetwood Mac.

The vocal performance of lead singer Tiana Stuart is next to emerge, imbuing the song with a classic delivery and allowing “Worth It All” to maintain its nostalgic, analogue integrity. Above the steady pulse of the rhythm, brief flourishes of lead guitar dance across the production, providing an ethereal width to the tune as it saturates the speakers of your stereo.

The refrain possesses an angelic, otherworldly quality, as Stuart glides up into a breathy falsetto and finds support from additional layers of dreamy vocals. The entire arrangement has been polished in a thick sheen of reverb that allows “Worth It All” to keep its feet planted in both indie rock and dream pop. We are confident that, upon the simple press of the play button, you will find one of your new favorite tunes.

Hallo is: Tiana Stuart (rhythm guitar and vocals), Behn Stuart (drums), Aaron Sekula (bass), and Jason Morris (lead guitar). You can connect with the band online: Spotify | Instagram | Facebook | TikTok
