Eva Rose King - “The End of an Era”

Fort Collins, Colorado-based singer-songwriter Eva Rose King has returned to us with “The End of an Era,” a vulnerable offering of chilled-out indie folk.

The End of an Era” begins with an elegant arrangement that consist of acoustic guitar, the sparse notes from a piano, and a swelling layer of ambience. At the press of the play button, listeners shall be transported to a state of nostalgic bliss, along with a hefty dose of introspective lyrical content.

As “The End of an Era” progresses, the piano fills in the spaces left in the production and a zephyr-like beat emerges to propel the song forward. But the track never loses sight of “coming to terms with the reality that success and fame can take a lifetime to achieve. The song is meant to be optimistic -- giving up unrealistic views of success can allow you to start working towards your dreams in a sustainable way.”

To be honest, Eva Rose King could sing about anything and maintain our full attention– with a voice that enters the ears full of authentic grace and honesty, she can conjure the true spirit of Colorado folk music. Between her breathy delivery and tight vibrato, we will happily feature any tune she throws our way.

We have a feeling that you’re going to fall in love with “The End of an Era,” which is now available everywhere you get your music. The track comes from King’s new LP, After Tale. Connect with Eva Rose King: Spotify | Bandcamp | Instagram | Facebook
