Eden J Howells - “everything you touch”

London-based alt-folk artist Eden J Howells has just released the tender sounds of “everything you touch.”

Pressing the play button invites a creamy, vintage-hued production into your ears, beginning with a chill fill from the drum kit. From there, “everything you touch” expands to include a full-band arrangement, revealing the deep, rich notes from a bass and some shimmering chords from an electric guitar.

The star of this show is Howells’ vocal performance, which is, at times, warmly reminiscent of Fiona Apple– one of our favorites. Careful listeners will also catch glimpses of Odie Leigh and Phoebe Bridgers, but Howells is more than capable of carving their own niche into the genre.

To widen the sonic landscape, a soothing layer of harmonies has been deployed over key areas, which has brought us back to “everything you touch” for multiple listens. And the subject matter will likely resonate with most listeners, as Howells adds that it “is really just about loving someone and the way that love can change your life.”

everything you touch” was recorded with Grammy award winning engineer/producer Andrea Mastroiacovo and is now available everywhere. We hope that you love it as much as we do. Connect with Eden J Howells online: Instagram | Spotify | TikTok | YouTube | Bandcamp
