Brittany Ann Tranbaugh - “We Could Be Comets”
Brittany Ann Tranbaugh has just released the captivating indie folk song “We Could Be Comets,” which can only be described as dreamy and warm, instantly captivating you with its melodic groove.
The song is built on a deep and warm bass line, which hypnotically rolls and bounces over orchestral-like percussion. This creates a really nice, slow and tranquil groove that makes you want more. The percussion is minimal and, again, focuses on rich deep tones.
“We Could Be Comets” is given a really nice, ethereal texture from reverberated electric guitar, which subtly acts as a pad with its dreamy, clean tones. The track is wonderfully stripped-back, with only acoustic guitar briefly used as a new texture during the song’s dynamic break.
The vocal performance of Tranbaugh is the real star of the song. Full of warmth, intimacy, and beauty, it is supported with great harmonizing backing vocals that give the performance a nice sense of depth. Full of melody and calming rhythms, this song is a real stunner.
“We Could Be Comets” is taken from Brittany Ann Tranbaugh’s new EP, Comets, produced by Grammy-winner Tyler Chester, which will be released this Autumn (or Fall if you are on the other side of the pond).
