From Los Angeles, Wax Owls have just released the mesmerising indie rock track, “Guess You Knew.”
This tune delightfully grows until it feels like an unstoppable juggernaut of emotion. The song opens to an incredibly chilled groove. Electric piano gives warm soothing sounds, whilst electric and acoustic guitar add depth and texture. Propelling the track forward is a solid, assertive drum groove that supports subtle and reflective synth layers.
The electric lead guitar is a standout feature, helping to grow the dynamics while creating a sense of tension and release. With its brooding but raw tones, it begins to punctuate the emotional depth of the track at the half way point.
