Top 20 of 2023

It’s been one heck of a year for new music, so we thought we’d do something special and give you a rundown of the twenty tunes that brought the most traffic to our website in 2023.

At #20, it’s New York City-based Nautics and their nostalgia-infused indie-rock firecracker, “Sunday.


#19 is Portland-based singer-songwriter Jeffrey Martin and his truly heartfelt and stripped-back single, “There Is a Treasure.”


Nashville-based McKay land at the #18 slot with “Bad Liar,” a dynamic, stripped-back, gritty, and anthemic treat for all fans of Americana…


#17 is “Break Your Neck,” by England-based The Len Price 3, a monstrous track that will completely blow you away…


At #16, we have New Orleans-based Lyla DiPaul and her beautiful song, “Aquarius Tendencies.”

jules lands in the #15 position with her stripped-back and ambient morsel of sound: “steering wheel.”


At #14, it’s a blog favorite: Francisco Sola and his means of escaping the world: “Safe Place.”


#13 makes room for Hazlett’s “Missionary Feelings,” a vibrant, acoustically-driven masterpiece…


Australia’s The Paper Kites find themselves at #12 with “The Sweet Sound of You.


Fresh off of a tour with boygenius, Sarah Goldstone is at #11 with “Athens 1975.”


The #10 spot has been filled by UK-based Keo’s “For You,” a raw, grungy song for the fans of alt-rock…

#9 goes to Nashville-based Anna Grace Odom and her heartfelt debut single, “Take,” a wondrous, cinematic tune filled with dynamic twists and turns…


#8 has been reserved for the debut release from Swedish/ Icelandic singer Svanhildur, a magnificently raw song entitled “Getaways.”


Coming it at lucky number 7, we have Modern Alibi's “Seventies,” an energetic and infectious indie pop/rock track that immediately grabs your attention…

#6 goes to the gloriously vintage vibes of Dipsea Flower’s “Hummingbird


Entering the top 5, we have “Sophie,” by CVC, which has a fantastic ‘70s vibe that gives really strong nods to ELO


At #4, it’s another Hazlett tune, “Blame the Moon,” which is no surprise, considering he released approximately one million amazing songs this year…

#3 goes to Chicago-based Illinois Joy and their dynamically enchanting release: “Yours To Lose

#2 has been filled by roger weeks and the key to happiness that he’s found within himself, as portrayed in his single, “North Dakota.”


Finally, at #1, we have Bristol-based Lowswimmer and his tune, “Can’t Be By Myself, a collaboration with Squirrel Flower and Novo Amor
