Telos Vision - “Wake Up”

Gothenburg, Sweden-based Teodor Boogh, aka Telos Vision, returns to the blog with his latest retro-tinged single, “Wake Up.”

The lo-fi beat that sets this track in motion will immediately pique the interest of all who hear, but it soon gives way to a fully-fleshed and vibrant arrangement, complete with an ear-worm melody via some tastefully utilized lead guitar. A lush synth pads out the soundscape, a bass locks into the rhythm, and “Wake Up” is off to the indie rock races.

Boogh’s vocal emerges, confident in its delivery and coated with a warm overdrive. A distinct radio effect has been deployed on the call-and-response moments of the verses, ensuring that the listener remains fully engaged. Combined with the vintage flavor of the song’s instrumental, “Wake Up” is one glorious ride through the streets of nostalgia.

Fans of the psychedelic from the late-1960s, as well as those who are drawn to the sounds of Kevin Morby, Tom Petty, or Kurt Vile, are bound to find a new favorite tune here. In the short time that we’ve known him, Telos Vision never disappoints and we pray to the gods of indie music that he brings his tour stateside. Until then, you can wrap your ears around the new LP, Traces of Light:
