Ramnäs + Soft Crystals - “Time”

Ramnäs and Soft Crystals have teamed up once again to bring us the immersive dream pop track, “Time.” The song is wonderfully chilled and oozes with dreamy, summer vibes.
“Time” is built around and incredibly sweet drum groove that effortlessly propels the track forward. The percussion is a standout highlight, adding distorted textures, swaggering shaker, and abundant ear candy across the composition. Gluing the song together is a rich, deep bass that provides a satisfying foundation, with the melody fleshed out by splashes of shimmering electric guitar that melts into the track, as well as waves of mellow, ethereal synths. The atmosphere created by these elements is reflective and simply irresistible.
The vocals on “Time” are filled with a sense of gentle harmony and melody. The two vocalists each take an intimate approach to the words whilst exuding a wonderfully chilled and breezy vibe. Lyrically, the track explores the relationship between two people who spend an incredible amount of time together but live in two different realities. Matt, from Soft Crystals, asserts: “It’s funny, but it happens so often that one person sees the relationship as happy and the other feels the complete opposite.”
“Time” is a really great collaboration showcasing the talents of both creative powerhouses. The dreamy soundscapes and thoughtful lyrics will leave you highly anticipating their forthcoming EP.
