Mawzy - “Start Again”

Toronto-based singer-songwriter Mawzy has just released the stunning new dream pop track, “Start Again.”
This track is built on one hell of a smooth groove and is an incredible earworm. The composition wastes no time in hitting home with the main chorus hook, which is impossible to forget.
“Start Again” is composed with strikingly immersive musical layers. The guitar elegantly melts into the track, creating a reverb-drenched ambiance that is hard to resist. Melodic lines are allowed to gently flourish, enhancing the relaxed vibe.
Complementing this dreamlike mood are splashes of mellow electric piano and well-chosen synths that exquisitely sparkle. Touches of brass are also used, adding a great touch of refinement. The smooth, uncluttered drum arrangement supports the breezy vibe with a steady beat, while bass pulses warmly underneath.
The real highlight of the track is the lush and wonderfully delicate vocal delivery. The duet between Mawzy and Kirty from Fast Romantics dances wonderfully across the composition; their layered harmonization is simply exquisite and bound to be one of the reasons that listeners keep coming back for more.
Lyrically, “Start Again” is about giving love a second chance. The words tell of a day spent strolling around the city with a former lover, discussing things that were once left unsaid and expressing a desire to start all over.
