Matt Sahadi - “Another Day”

Ohio-born, Nashville-based singer-songwriter Matt Sahadi arrives on our blog with his infectious indie rocker, “Another Day.”

After the brief and distant hints of some lo-fi guitar, the song quickly ignites with some wide, gritty chords. The sounds of synth gyrate in the background as the rhythm section arrives as though an asteroid smashing into the Earth. In this case, that giant piece of fiery rock includes a final word from Sahadi after the demise of abhorrent love affair.

The level of satisfaction drawn from the hard-hitting drums is so rich that you can taste it– we would not at all be surprised if everyone who listens finds themselves pounding the rhythm on the tops of their desks or steering wheels or simply nodding their heads in immense appreciation. And we’re not quite sure how many layers of guitars are being utilized here, but the wall of sound protruding from this thing is ever so glorious.

Although “Another Day” isn’t the raw garage rock to which we typically gravitate, there is something magnetic about the track that renders us incapable of resisting its craftsmanship. Sahadi’s vocals are superbly modern and we feel that fans of Sam Fender or Fontaines D.C. are going to come out on the other end of this one with a new favorite song– especially if those listeners also happen to be wounded from a previous relationship.

Another Day” comes from Matt Sahadi’s new EP, Propagated Sins, now available everywhere.
