CAROUSELS - “I Can’t Stop the Rain from Falling”

Copenhagen, Denmark-based indie rock outfit CAROUSELS have just released the captivating sounds of their brand new single, “I Can’t Stop the Rain from Falling.”

This track starts off with some mesmerizing ear candy via some vibey keys and a subdued, lo-fi beat. And it is not long before the song gets cracking, expanding its production to reveal the vast tones of the rhythm section. Bass and drums are the driving force at this point, churning out a groove that poses as the perfect foundation for the vocals. “I Can’t Stop the Rain from Falling” bestows elements from all of our favorite genres, including psych, soul, and, of course, good, old-fashioned indie rock.

But these vocals will instantly enchant all who hear as they provide a distinctly charming and familiar tone. Guitars seem to enter from all sides, adding a sizable width to the song, yet not completely overwhelming it. The song’s hook is one that will instantly have you singing along (hint: it’s the title of the song) and as this number takes you through some dynamic twists and turns, those seven words keep you grounded throughout its duration. Delicious guitar leads line the interior of this marvelous ride, reverberating ever so perfectly.

At around the two-minute mark, a grand dynamic shift falls into place, leading the listener down a brief, dark progression before once again emerging into that luscious refrain. “I Can’t Stop the Rain from Falling” has been carefully designed to only offer your ears exactly what they need and we can’t think of a better song to help you to say hello to the weekend.

If you like what you hear, be sure to check out CAROUSELS’ previous release, “Get Enough (Can't Get Enough),” especially if you’d like to to take a deeper dive into their world of the psychedelic. This track will give you more of that creamy bass and drums, along with a large dose of synthy goodness. It’s definitely a more dreamy ride, with shimmering guitars and, of course, those perfectly delivered vocals. We’re definitely hoping that there’s more music on the way from CAROUSELS…
