From Austin, Texas, singer-songwriter Howdy, Cherry has just released the indie folk track, “Georgia (again).”

Georgia (again)” is a track that is rich in nostalgic, immersive, and tranquil textures. Subtle, intimate warmth is imbued by the slow grooving and wistful acoustic guitars. Their textures create a wonderful sense of gentle movement, which is easy to get lost in. The serene tones are further enhanced by a dreamy organ that richly pads and touches of jangly electric guitar, warbling and shimmering with a lush sense of mellow warmth.

Propelling the track forward is a relaxed drum groove that permeates a chilled sense of ease. Underneath, the bass pulses soothingly. The two elements work really well together, enhancing the calm, introspective contemplation that is at the heart of this track. The true highlight of the song is the beautiful vocal of Howdy, Cherry. The gentle delivery is light, breathy, and melodically prolific. It guides you though the track meditatively. Supported by magnificent backing layers, the whole performance is truly special.

On the meaning of the track Howdy, Cherry adds: “I wrote the lyrics to Georgia in the midst of an emotional breakdown seeing my ex walk into a bar with a potential new lover. It’s meant to be nostalgic, a little sad, a little hopeful - and truly means whatever it means to you.”

Georgia (again)” is a really well-written song, filled with nostalgia. It soothingly feels like a lush summer’s breeze. This chilled track will make the perfect addition to any music lover’s playlist.
