“Leave the Light On” is the opening track on the EP of the same name from Galvo. It has a dreamy sound that transports the listener, like a freight train churning through the evening desert. The generous use of reverberation on the tenor vocal creates an expansive atmosphere that exudes a sense of desolation. There’s a sense of longing in the vocal and yearning in the lyrics, while the pulse of the driving bass & drums moves the melodies forward with a keen eagerness. A cool tune that’s ready for a sync deal. Oh, and I love the drum groove in the outro!
