Filiah - “Atlas”

Filiah from Austria has teamed up with welovemelodies to release the anthemic indie rock track, “Atlas.”

This sonic thunderstorm of raw emotion is wrapped up in sunshine, much in the same way as classic rock tracks, like “Go Your Own Way,” by Fleetwood Mac. Teaming up with welovemelodies, Filiah unleashes some exquisite soaring creative chemistry with this banger. From its understated beginning of bass and drums, “Atlas” steadily builds to a crescendo of bristling electric guitars. On the journey are enchanting textures of acoustic guitar, banjo, and stylish strings. Guiding us on our way is a simply electrifying vocal performance from Filiah. Shifting from reflective to defiant tones with ease, the delivery feels undeniably liberating and cathartic to listen to.

Filiah adds: “Before writing “Atlas” I was on a 2-year hiatus from my own music. I felt emotionally and physically exhausted, burnt out and going through a lot of changes and challenges in my personal life. It was inspired by feelings of self-doubt and the struggle to meet both personal and external expectation. It explores the feeling of thinking you’re never enough, wired all wrong and struggling to believe that someone will ever get you, while simultaneously wanting nothing more than just to be yourself.”

Atlas” is the kind of track that makes you want to scream the chorus at the top of your lungs. With this track, Filiah proves that sometimes the best compositions come from the messiest of places. “Atlas” is out now via Ink Music.
