Earth to Josh - “All My Love”

From Lismore in Northern New South Wales, Australia, Earth to Josh has just released the enveloping modern psych ballad, “All My Love.”

All My Love” explores the lingering echoes of a past romance through rich, melancholic and introspective textures. There is a subtle feeling of hopefulness that runs through the wistful resignation of the music, mainly from the sounds of the acoustic guitar at the tracks heart. Delicate and fragile, yet beautifully warm, the instrument leads us through the composition at an unhurried pace.

Supported by a restrained drum groove and a smooth, anchoring bass line, Earth to Josh delightfully allows the ambient flurries of electric guitar and vocal to shape the mood of the track into something that is elegantly cohesive and immersive. Earth to Josh states that the song was inspired by early Coldplay… before Chris Martin made the mistakes of putting down his acoustic guitar and naming his kids after fruit… and although there are hints of tracks like “We Never Change,” I would argue that the endless, cascading delays and cathedral-like reverbs forge an atmosphere closer to early Verve, The Beach Boys or even The Moody Blues from the Seventh Sojourn era.

Tender, vulnerable and full of haunting, ethereal, and yearning tones, this expansive track is taken from Earth to Josh’s forthcoming debut album, Josh to Earth, which is set to be unveiled later this year. We can’t wait!
