Bree Rusev - “Summer Memories”

Newcastle, AU-based singer-songwriter Bree Rusev is back to remind us that we will always have our “Summer Memories.”

This track is not the usual dark and gritty folk music that we so often feature on the blog; instead, it begins with the joyful strums of an acoustic guitar and a pulsating kick drum that is bound to immediately initiate some tapping from your feet. In our experience, there is no better way to celebrate sunny weather than a nice, breezy pop tune– this is exactly what you get when you press play on “Summer Memories.”

And though we are quite fond of a more melancholic approach, Rusev has one of those voices that we simply cannot resist. Once she begins her delicate and heartfelt vocal delivery, we are confident that you, too, will get caught up in her authentic vibe and divine knack for both songwriting and storytelling.

The chorus is bound to bring you back for multiple listens, as it comes complete with a marvelous harmony, creating a brilliant ear-worm of a hook.
