Beach For Tiger - “A Little Relief”

From London, England, indie psychedelic pop-rockers Beach For Tiger have arrived on our blog with “A Little Relief.”

Pressing the play button initiates some of the most prolifically chill sounds we have ever heard. At times, primarily during the verses, it is as though you are listening to Hall & Oates– if Hall & Oates dabbled in LSD, but we are detecting a sublime, warbling undercurrent of “I Can’t Go for That (No Can Do),” at least from a compositional standpoint.

The arrangement is robust as all hell, making it difficult to favor any one element, but the conglomeration of sounds culminate in a tune that would work as the soundtrack to a roadtrip or simply kicking it at home, alone or with friends. “A Little Relief” enters the ears as though crafted by actual human beings, instead of someone with a vast VST library.

The vocal performance is equally supreme and dream-like, with auxiliary layers that bring a great deal of width to the production, all without being overbearing. And the cascading falsettos on the hook are bound to bring you back to “A Little Relief” for a multitude of listening sessions.

From its gentle groove and textures of keys, to its subtle guitar and notes from the horns, “A Little Relief” is a brilliant piece of music that will likely make you take a deep dive into Beach For Tiger’s back catalogue.

About the track, Beach For Tiger adds: “A Little Relief is a song about needing exactly that. Written during the winter months, this song is about needing a breather from everything. It's about wanting to get away. A Little Relief is an attempt to capture the excitement we all have for going away, and about how it can be the reset each of us needs.”
